Put the treatment appointment in the travel plan
For a dog travelling from the Netherlands, a vet must give and record tapeworm treatment 24 to 120 hours before arrival in Great Britain. If travel is delayed, check whether the appointment still fits. See the official treatment requirements.
If you are starting in Amsterdam
Work from the intended GB arrival, not simply the time you leave the Dutch address. Tell the vet the itinerary when arranging the appointment.
If you are arriving at Schiphol first
Allow for the flight, airport procedures and onward road journey. Tell your vet where the complete trip began, as requirements may extend beyond the Dutch part of the itinerary.
Check the travel document
