- Pets leaving Great Britain for France are normally covered by the animal health certificate (AHC) process for GB-issued documents.
- Dogs, cats and ferrets need a microchip and a valid rabies vaccination, and the AHC is arranged with an official vet shortly before travel.
- Check the official guidance for the exact timing, validity and any extra rules for your pet.

- Rules for entering Great Britain are different and are checked on return, including requirements for dogs such as tapeworm treatment within the official window.
